A Message about Covid - 19

We understands that you are bringing your baby into the world in concerning times and we are working and adapting our services everyday to provide the best possible support for the circumstances.

Most hospitals and birthing centers have restricted visitors/support persons to 1 only.  We are heartbroken at the difficult choices you are making in this regard.

Heartland Doula Services is now offering virtual support via zoom conference.  You can have your partner, your mother, your best friend, your doula and everyone you dreamed at your birth.  We'll facilitate it and send a custom link to join to each of your desired guests and lend our Doula expertise to your birth.

We're there to remember your birthing wishes, to suggest positions, techniques for comfort, relaxation, pain management and progress.  We're helping you process your decisions, validating your concerns and celebrating your victories.

    About Heartland Doulas Services

Heartland Doula Services is a pregnancy and birth support collective founded on community and committed to kindness, connection and excellence. The founding partners realize that by pooling their experience, skill and passion, they better support families with a much greater reach than the sum of their parts.

As a collective, we believe that peaceful and healthy beginnings translate to healthy and happy lives. By providing quality  doula support as well as group educational gatherings, we encourage families to make well-informed decisions during pregnancy, birth and beyond. Through these group meet-ups and a private on-line forum, clients have a supportive space that fosters a deeper connection with each other and their doulas that continues into the postpartum period. These opportunities allow for learning and connection beyond prenatal meetings.

As a client and valued member of Heartland Doulas, you'll receive many benefits for choosing to work with us:

  • 24/7 phone and text support throughout your pregnancy.

  • Access to the skills and experiences of a collective of doulas instead of just one doula

  • As a birth client you will receive immediate postpartum and lactation support as well as a one hour home follow-up

  • Group prenatal and postpartum meetings, which provide a community network and additional educational opportunities

  • In addition to group prenatal meetings, we also meet one-on-one with families to discuss private information and birth/postpartum preferences.

What our Clients are saying:

The love they brought to my son's birth was a feeling I'll never forget..."
-Jessica R.

"We chose to have our baby under the guiding care of a midwife and doula. Initially, we thought that since we were working with a midwife, we wouldn't need a doula, but now, if someone told me I could only choose to have a midwife *or* a doula at my birth, I would choose my doula, Danielle. She was a constant support through my pregnancy and my labor, and my husband was so grateful for Danielle's support and guidance, as well. I honestly can't even imagine my birth without her - she was completely hands-on during my labor helping me with the physical task of bringing baby into the world, but she also respected my ability to listen to my body's own cues. She let me lead my process and stepped in with suggestions and reminders when necessary.."
-Alanna R.

"I have been blessed to have 3 beautiful gentle hospital births without pain medication, all with doulas. Of those three birth experiences, Kindred Hearts was by far my best doula experience. The difference comes down to the amazing wealth of experience and expertise these three incredible doulas share and the support and companionship I gained each month from Birth Circle was exceptional.
